You were spot on, J2O, with the Wazza alert: and there he is, gone in a flash to Man City. Blimey, Ferguson's a right wazza too (see earlier definition of 'wazza'); they deserve each other. I had a wazza situation earlier today: a key scientist in a pharma development company decides to leave his 'nursery' employer after a row over IPR shares - now known as 'throwing a wazza'.

Is Wazza a distortion of Wossy - which has just popped up on my Twitter page as 'Who to Follow'. Why I should want to follow random suggestions with ludicrous names, god knows. [Wossy is an entertainer, m'lud, who suffers from an advanced speech impediment - Ed]
