Betting on the Election = Bigots to right and to left

Bigot: what a brilliant word to burst on the general election scene!

Ignoring the sensitivities of the poor woman so described, who would possibly use such a word without clear, unambiguous intent. It's an old word (16thC French) and not one, I imagine, that any of us have ever used or thought of using.

The Great Gordo demonstrates once again his other worldly arrogance and overbearing aggression.

Always a pleasure to receive the gentle, reasoned and even-handed response to my occasional nudge, Adonis.

I have since seen the papers, 38/1 against, come on, bookies have packed their bags and left the course

Wednesday afternoon, Labour went from 28/1 against getting an overall majority to 38/1 against. You didn't even need to hear the news of what he'd done!
One thing we punters understand very clearly (and the Electorate generally don't) is that when oddsmakes offer 38/1 against, in an Event where there can be no "tender rides" or even blatant restraining, there is really virtually no hope of success. It seems to me that only theft of ballot boxes on a grand scale, or kidnapping (and more holding to ransom) of the other two leaders could possibly affect the inevitable.
We can all see it.
Apparently, Flash Gordon remains deluded.
....As did Nero whilst Rome burned.
Ah well, it's probably at least another decade before people forget JUST how much of a mess this lot got us into.
AGAIN.
