The Sports Exchange

The inside track for those who need to know

How's the DARTS doing? My old friends BDO (sponsors, I think) have failed to invite me, so I cant be the right sort of darts demographic. But they know I'm the outdoor sort of chap, I was invited to golf days (free umbrellas) and cricket matches (8 hours booze, if you could withstand the attentions of the local bankers).

SNOW seems to have cooled the ardour of even our most persistent bloggers, quietest patch on The Sports Exchange that I can recall. But you can always turn to our buddies at www.betcatalyst.com and sportspunter's blog for current, informed delights.

And what about POLITICAL wagers, tempo rising with the forlorn efforts of those two charismatic, inspirational ministerial types, Le Hoon and La Hewitt. Check it out with Richard Stoddart's Voice from the North at dickspolitics. Or our Matchbet friends at Guido Fawkes, political betting.com, and order order.com. (Sorry, will post the hyperlinks separately, my bookmarks have failed me).

And if all else fails, you can always turn to the BOOZE; how about a punt on the fine wines liv ex site whose skilful trading is handled by the Matchbet betting exchange engine.

Maybe your New Year Resolutions have been swept aside by the chilly spell. Those little appetising comforts that had been marginalised for a while have crept back in: sloe gin, Thornton's choccies (favourites are 50% off just now), crumpets with patum peperium, lunchtime at the village pub (100 yds walk, very healthy, each way).

Keep warm by tapping out your thoughts on The Sports Exchange: a blog a day helps you work, rest and play, as you know.

Betfair News: did you know (not looking for a job) that BF's recruitment guy is Douglas Gambling.

More BF stuff: our City desk tells me that the planned float is scheduled for April. Oh, the heavy reporting and regulatory responsibilities they will assume as a listed PLC, maybe this will cheer up some of our BF-phobes who seem unchuffed by this mighty betting exchange.
