The Sports Exchange

The inside track for those who need to know

Local developments in the Sports Exchange world (J2O News flash)

A few home truths from our lovable sports gambler J2O, the sober face of betting. You may have seen John's critique of the Matchbet exchange in another blog today? In case you missed it, here it is again:

"Then I had a brief conversation with Ben from Matchbet. Told him IMO Matchbet is not fit fot use in current form."

Ben at Matchbet must have been really pleased to hear that 'candid opinion' but in the spirit of fair comment lets hope it enables Ben to remedy the shortcomings that J2O has identified.

"Tell it straight" is John's native Battersea style. You want to hear his paeon of praise (aka eulogy) of Gordon Brown (remember him? he was a politician from the sub-prime minister age who has retired to Kirkcaldy to reinvent
write his memoirs. Is he booked as a star attraction for the upcoming Labour party conference, one asks, [that's quite enough politics for one blog, this is a sports site in case you hadnt noticed - Ed]

John's finalising plans for his own bookie's shop, Bet with J2O or something similar

Farebet, for the uninitiated, is J2O's new betting shop venture. This is a collaboration with AIX, the Alternative Independent Betting eXchange, which a number of us have been pulling together over past weeks. John's traditional stance, and customer friendly style, lends itself to a face-to-face punting establishment, he has this in-bred arithmetical brain for calculating odds and laying bets - almost in-Tuohy-itive, you could say?

Opening in a town near you, keep your eyes peeled!

Yes, John, I already said I'd be a referee; how many linesmen do I get?
