Barney Frank rides again

You cant say you dont hear it here first!

In my Blog Post on 8th May, I reported:

"Say thank you to the nice Barney Frank
Who he? you ask. Well, he's a Yank, hence the silly name. He is also the chairman of the House financial services committee. He is bringing in legislation to legalise internet gambling in the US ...."

Well, he's still at it and reported continued efforts yesterday; good on yuh, Barney!

How's the Betfair float getting on?

One topic guaranteed to stir the members of The Sports Exchange into putting e-pen to paper is the single word Betfair. John 2E, due back from his little rest in a week or two, has a long trail of fair comments on the Betfair scenario, and always generates real interest all round.



Adonis, too, has been heard to raise the odd public interest point here.

John Tuohy - latest bulletin

Better news from the J2E bedside, but he's clearly had a dreadful time. Louise rang last night to say she hopes he will be home by Christmas.



He's had three bouts of pneumonia and has been in intensive care for several weeks but coming out of that in a few days time, she expects. He's had a good week and seems to be firmly on the mend at last.
