I am pursuing my interest in opening a betting shop, probably in Goring. I am also looking at opening an online betting shop, Apart from that physio this morning. Phil worked me quite hard. Then I had lunch with my new buddy and social network guru, David. Very good and lots of new ideas. Busy day. Been taking it easy this afternoon and this evening. Chelsea playing tonight. They should win, but 4/11 too short for me.

"Another fine mess you've got me into". Which one is Laurel and which one is Hardy?

The solution is obvious. Appoint David Milliband as Chancellor. Solves the "Red" Ed problem. Kills the .idea that the brothers don't get on. Happy Families are here again.Darling can go back to the home office, and Ed Balls can take over The Foreign Office. It's a win-win situation all-round.

Re;- the Trade Union problem. Introduce one member one vote. Get rid of all this…

How do people feel BETFAIR and the BETFAIR IPO will be affected by the emergence of new exchanges such as SMARKETS, MATCHBET, and AIX?

Chelsea lost but Reading won. Roughly broke even. Stuck my balance on Man United to beat Bolton.

That's it really. Watching US Golf. Nowt on this evening.

I had a couple of football bets on SMARKETS yesterday. SMARKETS is beginning to look like a betting exchange. I backed Chelsea to beat Man City, and Reading to beat Barnsley. Competitive odds and 1% comission till Christmas. I understand horse racing is being added to their range of markets shortly. Should prove interesting, and it is time for serious sports traders and gamblers to check out SMARKETS.

How are you? I am fine. Don't have much to say for myself. Split up with bGordon yesterday. Gordon will concentrate on the creation of a betting exchange, while I will conce.ntate on opening up a little old betting shop. No hard feelings. We will continue to work together in an amicable fashion.

Then I had a brief conversation with Ben from Matchbet. Told him IMO Matchbet is not fit fot use in current form.

Good Evening, Today went out at lunchtime. Distributed a few leaflets aroung a few hostelries. We are runnning a Coach Trip to Ascot Races from Pangbourne and Reading to Ascot Races on Fri 24 and Sat 25 September. More details from John on 01189-845265. Tickets 15 pounds both days.

Sent a few emails offering friends jobs.

Made dinner:- Spatchcock Chicken, Loads left. 6pm before we knew it.
