The inside track for those who need to know

I bring you a sad bulletin from the stable of Matchbet's Premiership Tipster, FootballMad: barely able to conceal his emotion, our hero faced the cameras at 'Bonkers', his crazy HQ amongst the glades of academe in leafy north Oxford, and issued the following statement:

8th October 2009

Matchbet asked Footballmad about his recent run of results:

"I am afraid last week was a disaster. Beyond that, it is now pretty clear that this season's football patterns are an entirely new phenomenon, with, for example, totally different behaviour of number of goals scored. This has been widely commented in the press. We are likely to be experiencing a regime change such as all markets occasionally experience. I will be back, having learnt the lessons of the recent past."

Footballmad.

Or is it just an excess of early season gusto, and the true historical pattern will soon reassert itself?
We will be holding a whip-round to re-stake the Lune of the Runes.

Hmm. PowerTable claim they do this too, but you sure wonder. Anyway, we've dropped them for now. There's another at http://www.footballbettingdata.co.uk/, based near Oxford, havent fixed a free trial access to their data yet.
I dont think Ben's heart was in it so need more new tipsters please!

Precisely why trends and historical results can only offer you so much as a punter. Every proper punter knows that they must analyse their bets primarily by taking the current form/situation/data into account.
