The Fox writes exclusively at www.betcatalyst.com and is well in profit on his NFL bets this season. Happy Sunday! I’m throwing out a crazy bet for you today alongside a couple of bankers. I was checking the bets on the Colts vs Texans game and...

Great skill displayed here; how can we run a regular programme for our 'less skilled' members? Talk about it off-line, big demand around, I detect. Mustnt detract from the big ticket 'premiership', we could probably be directed to a discreet 'virt...

Nice result Richard/The Fox and well done on your winners over the weekend.

Go on The Fox! Two out of three for a nice little profit. Favre threw for 232yds, Atlanta stuffed San Fran while although Pittsburg beat Detroit they only did so by 8 points (so nearly the clean sweep!). 22 points staked, 30.04 points returned, pr...

Precisely why trends and historical results can only offer you so much as a punter. Every proper punter knows that they must analyse their bets primarily by taking the current form/situation/data into account.

Hey Rich September and October no go areas on the horses (Flat or Jumps). Throw the form book out of the window. However get on Sariska next Saturday if you can get 7/2 (which I can't) what do you think?

Wise words, O Sage of the Turf. But isnt this always the way in the great race of life: full of vim and vigour at the outset: only to dull and fade as the long days of competition pass: cricketers burning out after promising starts (well, there w...

Defo not changed since I added it. Think you mentioned something about calculations on share of winnings not being right, but double checked and definitely is. On another note, nearly missed my stop the other day - that third pint was the culprit,...

Good one, Richard. Am I dreaming, or has this post changed since it first appeared yesterday? I hope I didnt add an inappropriate comment, heaven forbid. I usually only upset the Aussie members. Beware the post-10pm bloggers, I say. And another la...

www.betcatalyst.com: Value in Friday night's big fight

www.betcatalyst.com

Friday night's fight between Jason Booth and Michael Hunter could provide some value as far as betting is concerned. Both fighters aren't ko merchants by any means. Booth's five losses have all come on points, while five of his last eight wins have come via the scorecard or verdict. Michael Hunter's only loss came in a world title fight and his last three wins have all come by points wins. Booth, we think, is the stron… Continue

The Fox @ www.betcatalyst.com: NFL week 5

The Fox writes exclusively at www.betcatalyst.com.

NFL week 5 has rolled around and I have unearthed an amazing bet.

Brett Favre in his last two weeks has thrown for an average of 285 yards against decent teams.... enter St Louis, one of the worst teams in football. Ladbrokes offer 5/6 on him throwing for over 210.5 yards! GET ON!!

Another decent bet is on Pittsburgh to overcome the spread at Detroit and Atlanta to end San… Continue

You are now entering the horse racing Twilight Zone!

Throw the formbook out of the window, this is the time of year when the price of a horse should never put you off.

Flat races are now full of runners who have gone past their peak. Their main targets of the summer long gone they now start falsely short. Lurking somewhere in the race are a few horses that have gone under the radar for most of the season and who are 'peaking' at the right time.

NH races, on the otherhand, are full of runners from top stables whose targets are later down the line… Continue

Fancies for today's horse racing?

Anyone any fancies for today's horse racing? Reckon there's plenty of value to be had today, especially with some bookies offering 1/4 odds first five in both Gold and Silver Cups at Ayr.

Here's my three fancies for today (which judging by my record on here are ones to avoid like the plague!).

SIGNOR PELTRO must have a huge chance in the Ayr Gold Cup (3.10) despite being available at 20-1 in places. Everyone and his dog knows that for some reason horses who are 7f performers at heart do really… Continue

A Tale of Two St Legers?

This used to be the weekend of the St Leger and Irish Champion Stakes, but a few years back someone decided to complain that all the top-class jockeys were at Leopardstown and not at Doncaster. My opinion at the time was 'who can blame them?' If you have the choice to ride in a genuine Group 1 or washed-up Classic, which one are you going to choose? For me there was nothing wrong with Dettori, Murtagh and Kinane all being at Leopardstown, as the likes of the underrated McEvoy were filling their… Continue

Great intro, just tracked back, see you know both Mooders and J2O, am I right? If so, clinically unique generic accident, alert the media, Prof Winston wheeled out to propound.

If I've got hold of the wrong end of the stick, get to it, lets make some money on the nags. Have a look at our betting exchange pilot, help us mould it to the '4 legs good' model.
