Looking to Lay - Wing Play 8.25 Sandown

Hughie Morrison's gelding has managed two seconds in his last two runs, firstly off 69 and then off 72, and has been priced up favourite for the 8.25 Sandown at around 7-4 in the village and currently trades at 2.94 on BF.

There are a few reasons why we're opposing him tonight. He's relatively exposed having had 19 runs in his career and has never won off a mark this high (highest he's won off is 66), sports cheek pieces which suggests he may not be straight forward and this is a better race than his previous two races. The Sandown hill is not for quirky horses and there are a few horses in here who have some canny form to their name, which may be even more telling considering the form of Wing Play's last two runs isn't that hot . We are Looking to Lay at around 1.8 in-running in the win market and are going to leave a little lay in the place market at around 1.1.
